Four compositions by Clayton Thomas and Burkhard Beins reconstructing and reconfi- guring six duo improvisations for bass and percussion and eight solo improvisations by seven brass and keyboard soloists. All material for tracks 1 and 2 (Rhythm Complication & Brass) has been recorded at Sowieso (Berlin) on four consecutive days in March 2010, with always one soloist opening for the duo. All material for tracks 3 and 4 (Rhythm Complication & Keys) has been recorded at ausland (Berlin) on two consecutive days in September 2012, with 2 soloists and one duo performing on each day.
